Polaris RZRs make up 60 per cent of UTVs in the Finke Desert Race

Polaris RZRs will make up 15 of the 25 vehicles confirmed to compete in the Finke Desert Race, which starts this Saturday.

The annual race sees motorcycles and cars race for outright and class honours in a gruelling non-stop 226-kilometre race.

Three-time Australian Rally Champion and Polaris driver Cody Crocker said, “We can’t wait to get back to the Finke Desert Race.

“Last year we were the fastest back from Finke after some minor indiscretions on the way down.”

“This year, our intention is to be the fastest in both directions.

“Bring it on,” Crocker said.

The racetrack follows the route of the old Gahn which ran through the centre of Australia from North to South before being moved further West.

Despite Crocker’s bad luck last year, A Polaris machine not only took out the UTV class but were amongst the first five vehicles to finish.
