Dennis Penzo is a first-born son of Italian migrants who couldn’t speak English when he started kindergarten.
The former journalist, sub-editor, editor, group editor for the Fairfax newspaper group over more than 24 years has also spent a few years running his own tourist business followed by a few more years as a real estate off-the-plan sales specialist.
Dennis has now “gone over to the dark side” to sell advertising as Cycle Torque’s Advertising Manager and has done so for the past eight and a half years. He has been riding motorcycles and surfboards since about 11-years-old, where his earliest motorcycles were a GT500 Honda twin, ‘68 Triumph Bonneville, several Honda Fours in standard and cafe racer trim, a string of Yamaha 650 twins and V-twin 750 and 1100s.
Dennis enjoys travel, boating, fishing, tending to the vegie’ garden, home brewing and ice-skating with his granddaughter. His proudest achievement is that he has finally learned to speak English proper-like.
